MR. Subhra Kanti Gupta is the soul and spirit of the Ullaskar Dutta Academy Trust. Gupta is in media field for more than three decades. He worked for media houses like Asian News International or ANI, Eenadu TV, British Broadcasting Corporation, Panos South Asia etc.

After finished his assignment with Panos — Mr. Gupta then launched his own [media] venture LOOKEAST. The idea of a media dedicated to cover Asia’s one of the crucial link regions is behind launching the LOOKEAST. Cover India’s east and northeast and it’s volatile neighborhood — a region that straddles across South and southeast Asia connecting China, India and the ASEAN nations that account for half the world’s population and has some powerful economies.

As Founder and Managing Trustee of Ullaskar Dutta Academy, Mr. Gupta had taken it upon himself to unearth new and young talent. He kept pushing every single researcher to look at issues in a holistic manner.
